About Street Tours
London Street Tours evolved from a couple of other tour groups in 2009 with the idea of bringing together street game designers, story tellers and actors to create innovative and interesting ways of telling the stories of the city. The liars' tours are the best remaining example of this approach but over the past decade we've run interactive horror stories with teams of actors, educational packages to help students create their own walks and whole series of musical tours.

Chris Roberts
​
Chris Roberts is a London writer who has written books on the history of nursery rhymes, London's bridges, the river Thames and superstition in football. He has also published two collections of short stories Bus travel in South London in October 2019 and Tales from the Southern Commons December 2024. He has been conducting walking tours around London for most of this century and was part of the group who created free app tours for Ordnance Survey's Secret Stories London collection in 2021.

Sean Mitchell
​
Sean Mitchell was born in South London and his mother's family are East Enders going back many generations. He is a qualified Blue Badge guide whose areas of expertise include architecture, politics, Russians in London and literature. He is available for tours and talks on the above.
Tour Prices

All our tours start at £12.50 per person with a minimum of £70 for two people and £120 for larger groups. Our bespoke tours which cost, well, as much as it takes to create something wonderful please ask about these.
Tours normally last 90 minutes but please allow an extra 20 for any refreshment stops, we can deliver shorter or longer walks if that suits you. Most routes can accommodate groups of up to 20 people but one some we can take larger (up to 35) or for really big groups we can split the group and run simultaneous tours.
We can usually alter start and/or end points to suit you and it’s worth asking about possible slight route alterations as we’ve been doing this along time and often have variations to core tours. For example out Monument / London Bridge tour has at least six variations and South Kensington four.

It is worth asking about other areas not on this website as we have developed tours for clients in Catford, Vauxhall, Wapping, Pimlico, Fitzrovia, Victoria, Kings Cross, Mayfair, Clerkenwell and Soho to mention a few that we don’t regularly run but can.

Bespoke: Prices vary on these highly personalised and specially scripted tours depending on length of tour, time spent in preparation and number of guides required so please get in touch, tell us what you'd like and we'll create the perfect individually crafted event for you. We can also devise neighbourhood specific treasure hunts, talks or other activities.
We adapt tours to group needs where possible in terms of language level, age, cultural knowledge and can often twist themes of tours to suit clients’ needs. We have worked with schools, colleges, universities from across Europe and the US and restructured tours to better suit curriculum needs for these.
